Forster Neighbourhood Centre Inc. - People Helping People The Stroke Recovery Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The club is a local forum for people who have had a Stroke, their families and carers. Meet with others and share your experiences and discuss the unfamiliar life of post-stroke recovery. The group’s aims include:

  • To keep up-to-date with the latest treatments in both acute and rehabilitation of stroke.
  • To find ways to support each other, share what has and has not worked.
  • To gather information on what community services are available.
  • To arrange outings together, to have a laugh and above all to know we are not alone and help is only a phone call away.

Vision Impaired Support Groupeye final

The Vision Impaired Support Group meets on the 4th Thursday of each month at Legacy Hall, Legacy Village, Mills Parade in Tuncurry. Group members are all vision impaired with approximately 25 members, they meet for a chat, a cuppa and to share information. They have guest speakers and occasionally go out for lunch.

Transport a problem? For a small charge we can arrange for the Community Bus to pick you up and return you safely home.
