Free Personal Counselling - Personal/Family/Anger Management



Forster Neighbourhood Centre Inc. - People Helping People The Neighbourhood Centre has a free Counselling Service provided by professional, volunteer, counsellors.

This confidential service is available Mondays and Wednesdays, although other days can be negotiated. Appointments are essential and can be made by contact the FNC on (02) 6555 4351.

Counselling is also offered through the FNC's Child and Family Service. This service can work with vulnerable families who have at least one child under the age of 13 years and currently operates Mondays, Tuesday and Thursdays from the centre.

Counselling is offered following the Women's Shed project. The Women's Shed operates Thursdays from 10:30 - 1:30pm at the School of Arts Kitchen area.

Domestic violence counselling is available Monday mornings and is offered as an outreach service from the Taree Women's and Children's Refuge. Appointments are preferred, and can be made by contacting the TWCR on (02) 6551 0011.

Anger Management is available one on one with the counsellors, however, we are currently taking names for a small group titled "Anger Management for Women". Anger Management for men is available by contacting Michael Ovey from manning Support Services on (02) 6551 2560.

The good news is that if you are feeling unhappy or that your life is out of control, you are equally capable of feeling happy and in control of your life - you have made the first step by checking out this part of the website.

The FNC's Family Support Service is funded through the State Department of Families And Community Services (FACS) through there Early Intervention and Placement Program (EIPP).
