Better Learning Better Communities

Better Learning Better Communities is a community ‘pilot’ program for the Great Lakes designed to improve the education outcomes of local Aboriginal students. In essence, the project matches an academic tutor with a cultural mentor. The pair is then assigned to year 5 and year 6 Aboriginal students from two participating primary schools to help them navigate their education journey to year 10 or year 12.

The program is inviting new tutors and mentors to join the team for the 2017 school year.
